GENE'S CUSTOM GUITARS is a small business devoted to the production of well made vintage guitars replicas and vintage finish restorations at affordable prices. The business began as a hobby where I built and repaired guitars for my own use. As my building skills increased and interest in my work grew, I began building guitars for sale.
At first the guitars I built were placed on consignment at a local guitar shop. Interest in my work has continued to grow and I now recieve frequent requests for custom built guitars and replicas. I also get requests to refinish vintage guitars which have had their original finishes stripped, removed or otherwise ruined by a bad refinish job.
The hobby/part-time business gets more demands for work than I currently have the ability to meet. I still work full time. For now, it remains primarily a hobby providing me the oportunity to generate some revenue as I continue to sharpen my guitar building skills.
